Submitting the Plan Your Journey form, sending an email, WhatsApp message or otherwise contacting By Muri constitutes an enquiry only.
An enquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking and does not create an obligation for By Muri to provide the requested experience.
Each request is reviewed individually according to the guest’s preferences, dates, group size and availability.
5. Bookings and Confirmation
A journey or experience is considered confirmed only after By Muri has expressly confirmed the booking with the guest and any agreed booking requirements have been fulfilled.
Details such as the date, meeting point, duration, itinerary, price and any services included will be communicated before confirmation whenever applicable.
Because By Muri experiences are private and personalised, arrangements may vary according to the journey selected and the individual requirements of each guest.
6. Prices and Payment
Prices may vary according to the type and duration of the experience, number of guests, itinerary and any additional services requested.
The applicable price and payment conditions will always be communicated to the guest before the booking is confirmed.
Where an experience involves advance reservations or services provided by third-party partners, a deposit may be required to secure the booking and cover non-recoverable costs incurred on behalf of the guest.
The amount and conditions of any required deposit will be clearly communicated before payment and confirmation of the booking.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that travel plans can change and will always seek to handle cancellations fairly and reasonably.
Cancellation conditions applicable to the booking will be communicated to the guest before the booking is confirmed.
Where a deposit has been requested to secure reservations or services provided by third-party partners, any portion of that deposit corresponding to costs already incurred and which cannot be recovered by By Muri may be non-refundable, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Any remaining refundable amount will be returned to the guest in accordance with the cancellation conditions communicated at the time of booking and applicable law.
If By Muri is required to cancel an experience, the guest will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and an appropriate solution — such as an alternative date, alternative experience or refund — will be proposed, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory rights granted to travellers or consumers under Portuguese or European legislation.
8. Changes to Experiences and Itineraries
By Muri experiences are designed to be flexible.
Routes, stops, timings and itineraries may therefore be adjusted when appropriate due to weather conditions, traffic, road closures, local events, safety considerations, availability of locations or other circumstances that may affect the quality or feasibility of the experience.
Whenever possible, By Muri will seek to provide a suitable alternative while preserving the character and quality of the journey, subject to any mandatory rights applicable to the guest.
9. Weather and Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Certain experiences depend on weather, road, access or other conditions outside the reasonable control of By Muri.
Where circumstances make an experience unsafe, impractical or substantially different from what was planned, By Muri may propose an alternative itinerary, another date or another appropriate solution.
Any rights arising under mandatory applicable law remain unaffected.
10. Third-Party Services
Some experiences may involve services provided by independent third parties, such as restaurants, monuments, activities or other local providers.
Where such services are independently provided, their own availability and applicable conditions may apply.
By Muri is not responsible for changes, closures or disruptions caused independently by third-party providers, except where responsibility arises under applicable law.
